By having high-contrast thin film polarizer in their design, laser engineers can save on weight and volume in their devices without influencing the output. High-contrast 45° thin film polarizers are specially designed for optimal performance at a 45° angle of incidence, which makes them easy to place and adjust in laser systems using standard optical mounts.
